They are a beautiful addition to almost any decor; braided rugs can make a room feel warm and cozy or just comfortable and relaxing. If you have a braided rug but aren’t sure if it will fit into your decor, get it out and try these tips below.
There
are so many different types of area rugs available to match almost any decor so
the more you search for the perfect rug, the more you will be able to select
the perfect rug. When you begin to place your braided rug down, you need to be
able to measure for accurate placement and you may want to consider a braided
rug as well.
Decide where you think the braided rug would work best in the room. You can use
your braided rug to protect your floors if you have hard wood or if you have
tile flooring. The braided rugs are also good to place on top of carpet where
the traffic is heavy. You can use braided rugs to separate a large room or to
create a focal point in a room.
Braided rugs come in many different sizes and shapes from round to oval. You
can find black rugs that are combined with other
colors or you can choose a brighter color like red rugs
with a combination of light colors. If you want to find a color to match, pull
out a color that is not dominating. It will blend in better with your entire
decor.
Before placing a braided rug down on the floor, you may want to consider using a non-skid padding to go on the floor. This type of padding will protect your floor from being scratched but it will also keep the rugs from slipping out from underneath you when you step on it. This can be dangerous as well.
Decide On A Look
There are many different looks you can use a braided rug with; contemporary, vintage, rustic, Tuscan, colonial, and more. Almost any type of accessories will match with this rug so don’t be afraid to experiment, mix and match, and create a new look using something as simple as a wood bench or a beautiful patchwork quilt.
What Is The Braided Rug Made Of?
The material used to create the rug is going to make a difference. You need to consider where the rug is going to be placed. If you are placing the rug down in a high traffic area, you may want to choose a synthetic polypropylene fiber. It is used to make the braided rugs durable enough to stay outdoors for the entire year, no matter what the weather may be.
A braided rug has always been a popular design for any decor. If you want to spruce up your look but don’t know where to start, add one braided rug in front of a focal point and see how much of a change you can make with a few minutes.

I love braided rugs. I have two large ones in my home. They are attractive and very durable. I have thought about making my own and even have the material but haven't ventured that far yet. Thanks, this hub made me think about getting started on one over this coming winter.
